My favourite thing about the movie Speak is how you see her get her life back. Opening up to her dad more, standing up for herself, doing well in class. And the scene with her and her art teacher in her little room is the best bit I think. How he thought he wasn’t cut out for teaching and then seeing how much of an impact he has had on her. How much he has taught her. It’s just lovely.
That picture in the middle of the tree with the roots is my favourite. I used to want that as a tattoo on my wrist with the roots going into my palm.

"I have survived. I am here. Confused, screwed up, but here. So, how can I find my way?
Reading Speak and since I’ve seen the movie and know what has happened, this Andy guy is horrible. They didn’t make him as disgusting in the movie but he is just nasty in the book! Like he just doesn’t give a fuck!
Also found these in the charity shop. 3 for £3 :)
You don’t understand the noise I made when I found Speak. I have been looking for that book for about 7 years now!! so excited to read it, it was such an amazing film.
