I remember first hearing about this movie from EricwithnoK on youtube when it was doing the rounds at the festivals and I really wanted to see it. Why I’ve waited this long I don’t know. I think I can say without exaggeration that it is the most captivating film I have ever seen. I was a bit wary about it becasue it is just the one guy (albeit Ryan Reynolds) in a box for 90 minutes, so I thought it might be a bit boring, but I couldn’t peel my eyes away from the screen. And the times where the screen is just black for a while are almost like giving you a breather. It’s so intense that when it goes dark you feel like you can relax for a second before you get back into it.
The style of it reminds me alot of 127 Hours, so if anyone liked that movie I would definately recommend you see ‘Buried’
“You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don’t try to forget the mistakes, but you don’t dwell on it. You don’t let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.”—Johnny Cash (via misswallflower)
